Travelodge UK is known as Travelodge Hotels Limited and is a separate company from the Travelodge that runs in America. Travelodge UK has 32, 600 bedrooms in the UK which makes it the biggest hotel chain in the United Kingdom. It is also second largest in the budget hotel sector (after the premier Inn). The hotels are notoriously basic but great value and are a popular choice for travellers who need to make an overnight stay due to their convenience and electronic check in and out system. Travelodge have generally been successful and seen significant earnings since it first opened – completing a successful refurb and overhauling their image in 2012. However, in 2006 the company found itself under fire from BBC’s Watchdog due to their habit of overbooking rooms which meant that guests were turned away if they arrived late to check in. They now state this on their website that this may occur and if it does they will do their best to accommodate guests in a nearby Travelodge at no extra cost (although this is not guaranteed). As the hotels are built for convenience there may not be any eating or drinking facilities available in the hotel but they are often located next to a Harvester, Toby Carvery or in a motorway service station.

Travelodge currently has 20 hotels in London and most of them are centrally located. The room rates vary depending on the time of year, whether it’s a weekday or weekend and where the hotel is located. If you are planning on staying in a Travelodge in London it might be worth browsing through all of the different locations to find the best price. The hotels vary between 2 and 3 star and have different amenities. To view a full list of the London locations as well as see pictures, please visit the Travelodge website where you can enter your chosen location into the search bar. You can also select for Travelodge to search for hotels within a certain radius. Please call the helpline if you are having any difficulties using the Travelodge website to make your booking. If you are unsure of your location but are planning a short break then you can check out the homepage on the Travelodge website where there are often deals on certain hotels such as rooms for under £30 per night.
There are several Travelodges in Manchester, all of which can be viewed and booked online. Travelodge in Manchester is ideal if you are travelling on business or are visiting the city for a quick stay – even if it’s just for one night! It is not hard to find a hotel that is centrally located meaning you get to see all of what the city has to offer because it is right on your doorstep! They have some great deals to suit the family such as their kids go free policy which means kids can stay and get breakfast (hotel permitting) free. Travelodge has recently introduced a new all you can eat breakfast buffet which is available at all hotels that have a restaurant and bar. For every paying adult, 2 children can eat free (breakfast for adults is £7.95 per person). Not all Travelodges are equipped with a restaurant and bar in Manchester and so if you are staying in one without, you can book a breakfast to go either when you are booking your stay or when you arrive at the Travelodge. If you book one online before your stay, you will receive 10% off.
Booking a Travelodge could not be easier and a booking can be completed online in a few, easy steps. You can select how many adults and how many children you wish to book for and whether you require a room with disabled access. You will then be given a number of options in the location that you requested, including the price of the room for your total stay. Once you have chosen the hotel and room that best suits you, you can head to the checkout and pay for your booking. If the hotel is in high demand, you will be told that there are only a few rooms remaining. You can see all the amenities the hotel has to offer such as free wifi, bath and shower gel, a hairdryer and whether or not there is a restaurant that you can use. You will also be told where the attractions are in the place you are visiting and what are the best things to do in the area. When booking, you can choose to book a room with wifi for a little extra if you would like it unlimited. You can then add any extras onto your booking such as a late checkout (£10.00) and breakfast. Most Travelodges allow pets in their hotels. You can add them onto your booking for an extra £20.00 but you need to make sure the particular hotel that you are travelling to will account for your pet. Travelodge will accept all major credit and debit cards.
Whilst you are going through the booking process, you will be asked to create an account which will hold your booking details and allow you to manage your booking at a later stage. Simply log in to your account to view your booking reference, cancel your booking or amend it. If you have forgotten your log in details, please call the helpline and a member of the team will assist you in gaining access to your account.
Travelodge Cancellation Policy
Log into your account to cancel your booking with Travelodge. Depending on when you made your booking, your cancellation may be free up until the day you check in. You will be informed of your cancellation rights when you make your booking. If you have cancelled a booking in error please call the helpline immediately.
Travelodge hopes that your stay with them is comfortable but if you have any issues that you feel need to be addressed, either whilst you are staying in the hotel or after you have stayed, then please call the helpline. You can also visit the website and make an enquiry, leave feedback about your recent hotel stay or report an item that you have left in a Travelodge.
