Ryanair is well-known for its no-frills flights. Flights are often at low budget prices and you pay for extras such as your hold luggage. Ryanair flies to a range of popular destinations including:
Ryanair regularly has flight sales where you will find flights to European destinations from as little as £9.99. Of course, the dates are restricted but if you are flexible in terms of when you can travel, you can find a great deal.
Here are some other Ryanair services that you can book to make your flight more comfortable.
Ryanair Priority Boarding
Priority boarding means that you get on the plane first. There will be guaranteed space for your cabin bag and you won’t have to wait for your hand luggage on arrival (as some passengers on full flights will be asked to place their hand luggage in the hold) and you can sit down and make yourself comfortable before everyone else arrives. You can add this to your flight booking from just £5.
Fast track allows you to access the priority lane at airport security. It helps you get through the process quicker so that you can relax in the departure lounge ahead of your flight. It is available at some of the most popular airports including Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh, London Gatwick and some destination airports such as Faro, Malaga, Budapest, Warsaw, Brussels and Milan.
If you’re travelling as a family, the Family Extra travel can help to make your journey more comfortable when you fly. You will get free reserved seats for kids with every adult booked (for children between 2-12 up to a maximum of four seats) and children will get 50% off travel insurance, checked baggage and priority boarding. There is a free 5kg cabin bag allowance for infants, a bottle warming service and car seats accepted on board.
Leisure Plus gives you a free 10kg cabin bag, free priority boarding, a free reserved seat, a free 30 day early check in and a free 20kg check-in bag. This offer starts from £49.99.
Business Plus has been designed for business travellers. You will get a free 10kg cabin bag and second bag, free priority boarding, a free reserved seat, a free 30 day airport check-in, free 20kg checked bag, free security fast-track, flexible tickets so you can change your flight dates to the previous/next day and a dedicated check-in desk just for business plus customers.
Ryanair Check In
The easiest way to check in for your Ryanair flight is online. You simply login to your Ryanair account and begin the check-in process – you’ll need to give your passport information and confirm how many bags you’ll be checking into the hold.
Ryanair Boarding Pass
Passengers travelling with Ryanair are required to print their own boarding pass when they check-in online – if you don’t, you may be charged a fee at the airport check-in desk. The airline accepts mobile boarding passes as well as printed ones – just check in via the Ryanair mobile phone app to receive a mobile boarding pass rather than needing to print one out.
Ryanair Hand Luggage
Ryanair’s hand luggage policy is currently as follows:
You can carry one cabin bag weighing up to 10kg with a maximum size of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, plus a smaller bag measuring up to 35 x 20 x 20.
It’s important to note that only 90 cabin bags can be carried in the cabin, so some passengers may be asked to check in their hand luggage free of charge.
If your cabin bag is oversized, you will be asked to place it in the hold and charged a fee of £50. You can check the size of your bag at the bag drop desk before you go through to security.
Ryanair Holidays is the newest venture by the airline. It offers flight and hotel package bookings to a range of popular destinations including Marrakesh, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Alicante, Malta, Fuerteventura, Lisbon, Madrid, Venice, Sicily and Majorca. You can search by departure airport, destination, date and the length of time you wish to be on holiday.

Ryanair Flight Tracker
If you wish to find out information relating to a flight, such as whether it is due to depart on time or whether there are any delays, you can use Ryanair’s live flight information provider. You can search by route or departure airport to find out when a flight is due to arrive (i.e. on time or early) and whether a flight has landed or not.
Ryanair was first founded in 1985. It was originally a very small airline flying from Waterford to London and has now grown to become one of the biggest airlines in Europe. It now has over 11,000 members of staff working for the airline with over 1,000 pilots.
Ryanair has a fleet of 360 aircraft and credits its rapid period of expansion to the low fares that it provides. The destination network currently extends to 32 countries.
