Nando’s Menu

Nando’s is a chain restaurant which specialises in peri peri chicken. On the Nando’s menu, you will find several different types of chicken-orientated dishes. Here are some of the dishes available from the Nando’s menu.

Starters

  • Three chicken wings.
  • Houmous with Peri-Peri drizzle.
  • Red pepper dip.
  • Spicy mixed olives.
  • Peri-Peri nuts.
  • Wing roulette (10 wings in a variety of spices)

Mains

Nando’s is most well-known for its chicken which is freshly marinated for 24 hours before being grilled. You can order the chicken in a variety of different styles such as on the bone (chicken leg, 1/2 a chicken, whole chicken, chicken wings), off the bone (thighs and butterfly), burger (butterfly or chicken fillet), pitta (chicken fillet), or as a wrap (chicken fillet). With the burgers, pittas and wraps, you can double up on the chicken. Vegetarians are also catered for, with a veggie burger/pitta/wrap or mushroom and halloumi or a beanie burger. If you don’t feel like chicken, you can get a fillet beef steak with chargrilled vegetables. If you’re eating healthily, there is a variety of salads available and you can add chicken breast to any of them. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could try a fillet steak prego roll or chicken livers and Portuguese roll. Lastly, if you are in a group, you could order a sharing platter – big appetites can enjoy a spatchcock chicken or smaller appetites can enjoy a whole chicken.

About Nando’s

Nando’s was first founded in 1987 in a suburb in Johannesburg. The idea for the restaurant occurred when a Portuguese engineer took his business-minded friend to a Portuguese takeaway where the chicken was cooked in Piri-Piri, a sauce from Mozambique. They later purchased the takeaway and after two years, there were four outlets. By 2013, there were approximately 1000 branches of Nando’s in 35 countries. There are now Nando’s restaurants in the UK, Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Fiji, India, Pakistan, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and Zambia.
