McDonald’s is famous mostly for its burgers, but it does have a diverse food menu. Here are some of the menu items that you can purchase from your local McDonald’s restaurant.
Whether you prefer beef, chicken, fish or a vegetarian option, there are plenty of McDonald’s burgers to choose from. The most well-known are the Big Mac beefburger. If you prefer beef, you could also have a quarter pounder, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger or hamburger. If you prefer chicken, you could have the Chicken Legend with cool mayo, spicy mayo or BBQ sauce. You could also have the McChicken sandwich, Mayo Chicken or the BBQ Chicken BLC. If fish is your burger preference, you can have the Fillet-o-Fish burger. If you want a vegetarian option, there is the Vegetable Deluxe or the Spicy Vegetable Deluxe. McDonald’s also has a seasonal burger menu. For instance, the 2016 festive burger menu includes the Festive Cheese Feast and the Spicy Chicken Winter Melt.
McDonald’s has a diverse range of chicken wraps which are ideal for lunchtime. The flavours include garlic mayo, chicken and bacon, sweet chilli chicken and peri chicken. There is a wrap of the day every day, where a certain flavour wrap will cost £1.99.
McDonald’s has a choice of salads. You can choose from the grilled chicken and bacon salad, grilled chicken salad, crispy chicken and bacon, crispy chicken and the shaker side salad. There is also the option of carrot sticks or a pineapple stick as a side.
Sides and other options

Happy Meals are designed for children. In a fun colourful box, they can choose a main, side dish and a drink and they will get a free toy. For their drink, they can have milk, water or fruit juice, or a small soft drink.

McDonald’s Monopoly occurs once a year and allows you to collect prizes when you eat at McDonald’s. There are two types of prizes: instant win and collect to win. The instant win means that you peel a sticker and you are given a prize which you can claim instantly, such as a free fries or a free apple pie. Collect to win means that you must collect property sets to win larger prizes such as cars, day trips or cash prizes. McDonald’s Drive Thru
McDonald’s Drive Thru is available at some restaurants. It allows you to drive your car to a window, order food and collect at the next window without exiting your car. Occasionally, for a large/complicated order, you will be asked to park up and a member of staff will bring the order to your car.
