Ps4 is the latest version of the PlayStation brand of consoles. The current PS4 model has been redesigned to look slimmer and sleeker, as well as lighter overall. It has HDR (high definition resolution) technology to give more realistic visuals, a fast interface to help you connect with your friends, and exclusive features such as remote play and share play. The PS4 is available with a 500gb memory or a 1tb memory, depending on your needs. There is also the PS Pro, which uses advanced 4K technology to provide stunning gameplay using over eight million pixels. It also has double the amount of processing power in comparison to the standard PS4, entertainment apps such as Netflix and Youtube and the ability to play all PS4 games and play against PS4 players. Game offers PS4 consoles by themselves or you can purchase a bundle – bundles usually come with 1-2 games and a useful accessory such as a headset or a Now TV pass. The prices of a PS4 might vary between Game stores and the Game website.
Game Xbox One
The Xbox One is the newest console available from Microsoft’s Xbox brand of consoles. The Xbox One has over 100 exclusive games plus the compatibility to play Xbox 360 (its predecessor) games. You can also stream content from Netflix and Amazon Prime, as well as watch Blu-Ray discs. You can stop and resume your game whenever you wish, pick up on another Xbox or Windows 10 device (with certain games) and enjoy your favourite apps such as Skype and BBC iPlayer. You can play online multiplayer with an Xbox Live Gold subscription. There is a newer version of the Xbox One, the Xbox One S which has 4K technology for better gameplay and streaming. The Xbox One S is available in bundles featuring the latest games including Fifa 17 and Battlefield 1.
At Game, you can trade in games, consoles, phones and accessories. The best way to check how much you will get for them is to use the trade-in price checker – where you can enter the item’s barcode or search via keyword. An important thing to note is that Game will beat any other high street retailer’s trade-in price via their ‘we won’t be beaten’ offer. You can trade-in games, consoles, accessories and phones by visiting your local Game store.
Pre-ordering games ensures that you will get your copy the moment the game is released- usually no later than release day. You can place a pre-order online for it to be delivered to your home address or you can collect it from your local Game store. Pre-order payments are usually charged to the card you registered when the game is despatched. If the price of a pre-order lowers after you have placed your order, you’ll only pay the lower price upon delivery. Online pre-orders are usually cheaper than in-store pre-orders but by no more than £5. If you wish to pay for a pre-order using a gift card, you will need to pre-order in store.
With Game Finance, you can enjoy the latest consoles and pay via monthly payments. You make a 10% deposit and ten monthly payments. The minimum amount you can borrow is £250 plus the 10% deposit. The finance is available exclusively through Game stores so visit your local store and have a chat with a member of staff if you are interested.
Game was first founded in 1991 as Future Zone. It was in 1999, when the company purchased a chain of stores known as Game, that the company was named Game.
Game survived administration in 2012 and has bounced back to enjoy revenues of £861.9 million.
