London Luton Airport
Easyjet is one of the largest providers to budget flights around Europe and the surrounding area. The airline flies over 800 routes to both popular and non-touristy. You will find flights to destinations such as Malaga, Geneva, Marrakech, Stuttgart, Amsterdam, Athens, Copenhagen, Lyon, Canary Islands, Milan, Malta, Pisa, Olbia, Split, Tel Aviv, Turin and Vienna. Easyjet flies from a number of the UK’s main airports such as Manchester, Liverpool John Lennon, Leeds Bradford, Inverness, Belfast, Birmingham, and all the airports in London.
From an Easyjet flight, you can expect a no-frills experience. You’ll be asked to prepare for departure whilst the previous passengers disembark the plane, meaning that the turnaround time between a plane landing and taking off again can be as low as 25 minutes. If you book speedy boarding, you will be amongst the first to get on the plane and you will be given a seat with extra legroom. You can purchase a seat in advance via the manage my booking facility or alternatively, you can select a seat free of charge when you check in online. You won’t get a meal included on your flight, but there is an onboard Bistro where you can purchase a selection of hot and cold snacks such as paninis, baguettes and wraps as well as crisps and both alcoholic/soft drinks. There is also an onboard Boutique where you will find beauty products, perfume, gadgets and technology such as Bobbi Brown makeup, Fossil watches, Kiehl’s face cream, Paco Rabanne aftershave, Thomas Sabo jewellery, Bluetooth headphones and much more. You can also purchase tickets to top attractions such as Sea Life, the Amsterdam Dungeons and the London Eye onboard.
If you prefer the convenience of booking all of your holiday at once, Easyjet Holidays may be ideal for you. It allows you to book your flight and hotel together as well as any useful extras such as car hire and travel insurance. Holidays are available to a range of top destinations such as Majorca, the Algarve, Crete, Amsterdam, Prague, Venice, Barcelona, Marrakech and Benidorm. If you are able to book last minute, you will be able to get some great deals such as seven nights accommodation and flights to Portugal for £140 per person. You can also book far in advance, with holidays for next summer already on sale.
Easyjet Hand Luggage
All passengers travelling on an Easyjet flight are entitled to have one cabin bag with a maximum size of 56 x 45 x 25cm with that size taking into account the handles and wheels. If you have booked extra legroom or you are an Easyjet Plus, Flexi fare or Upfront customer, you are allowed one small bag under your seat, for example, a laptop bag or a handbag. The bag has a maximum size of 45 x 36 x 20cm and you must be able to place it under your seat.
Easyjet Check In
The most convenient way to check in for your Easyjet flight is to check in online. To do this, you’ll need the surname of the lead passenger and your booking reference- you must check in all passengers at once. You’ll need to provide your passport information and you will be given a boarding pass to print out. You simply print out the boarding pass and take it to the desk at the airport to drop your bag off (if you have a hold bag). If you are unable to print your boarding pass off, you might be able to show it using the Easyjet app on your phone but phone the Easyjet Helpline to check whether this is accepted for your flight.
Easyjet Flight Tracker
You can check the status of your Easyjet flight online using the flight tracker. You can use the flight number to find your flight or just enter the destination where it is travelling to/from for a more generic list. You’ll be shown the flight time in the local time so bear that in mind if you are searching for a flight from a different country to the one that you are in.
Whether you wish to be a part of the Easyjet cabin crew or you would like to work in the airport/head office, there is an opportunity for you to join the team. There are opportunities in many types of industries including marketing, engineering and maintenance. You could even join the airline as a graduate or apprentice. For more information, visit the Easyjet Careers website.
Easyjet was first established back in 1995 by a Greek businessman who rented two Boeing aircrafts. The airline initially operated two routes: London Luton to Edinburgh and Glasgow. In 1996, the airline received their first owned aircraft and began flying to Amsterdam as its first international destination.
Since then, the airline has gone through a period of successive expansion as a result of the demand for low-cost travel. It has a fleet of over 200 aircrafts and 24 bases around Europe. In 2014 alone, the airline carried over 65 million passengers, making it the second largest airline after Ryanair.
