About Argos

Argos is a well-known British catalogue retailer and recently became a subsidiary of supermarket giant Sainsbury’s. You can buy goods both from physical Argos stores and online. They sell a wide range of products. The company owns over 750 stores nationwide and its popularity means that it receives over 800 million website visits a year, making it on of the UK’s largest online retailers. Sainsbury’s plans to integrate a lot of Argos stores into their supermarkets in future years, with big plans for its takeover. Argos was established in 1973. Argos was previously owned by Home Retail Group, who was then taken over by Sainsbury’s. Argos had a TV channel on Sky that opened in 2011 and shut in 2013 when it announced it wanted to focus on other areas.

Argos UK

You can purchase Argos products both online and in store, and the Argos stores are the only ones of their kind in the UK. The stores operate by customers viewing an in-store catalogue and choosing what they would like to purchase from the catalogue. A member of staff will then fetch it from the warehouse in the back of the store if the product is available there and then or will arrange for it to be delivered to you at a convenient time. You can browse all of the Argos products online or in the catalogue. To view online, simply visit the Argos website and make your way through the categories which include; technology, home & garden, baby & nursery, toys and sports & leisure. There are also gift and Person shopping online at ArgosChristmas categories to give you an idea of what to buy someone else. Don’t miss top deals that can be found on the website’s home page. These deals change regularly and deals at the moment include saving up to half price on 100’s of character toys and 20% off certain furniture. By following the week’s top deals link, you will be shown limited edition offers on top selling products such as watches, iPads, hoovers and TVs as well as deals and offers that have been seen on TV. This is a great way of saving money. Argos have regular discount deals and offers on all of their branded products. If you have spotted an item that you would like to buy, simply click on the item to enlarge the image and find out details about the item such as the material it is made from. Once you have decided on the products you would like to purchase, you can add them to your basket and head to the checkout where you will complete the transaction. You will be asked to create an account as you go to pay for your items, this will mean that your details are securely remembered, to make the checkout process much quicker the second time around. If you do not wish to do this, you can opt to checkout as a guest and your details will not be remembered. If you already have an Argos account and are having problems logging in/have forgotten your details, please call the helpline and a member of the team will assist you in logging in.
